Help

How deals, hunts, alerts, plans and your account work.

Getting started

What does PeachFlip do?

PeachFlip compares the asking price of Facebook Marketplace listings with what similar items recently sold for, and badges the ones priced below that. The sold prices are estimates from recent sold listings, not guarantees, so check the item before you pay.

How do I create an account?

Choose Create free account and enter your name, your email and a password of 8 or more characters. The account exists as soon as you continue. The steps after that ask where you are, how far you'll drive and which categories you flip, and each step is saved as you go. Free needs no card.

Can I look at deals without an account?

Yes. The Deals page and the Map are open to everyone. Signed out, you see the same 6 deals a Free account sees.

Deals and tiers

What do Steal, Great, Good and Fair mean?

Each badge says how far the asking price sits below sold comps. Steal is 50% or more below, Great is 30 to 49% below, Good is 15 to 29% below, and Fair is under 15% below.

What is the difference between "usually sells for" and "est."?

"Usually sells for" and "below sold comps" mean the figure is backed by sold listings for similar items. "Est." and "below est. resale" mean it is a model estimate, with no sold comps behind it yet.

Why do I only see 6 deals?

Free shows 6 live deals at a time: the 6 nearest to you among deals published at least 6 hours ago. When PeachFlip can't tell where you are, it shows the 6 furthest below sold comps instead. Pro shows every live deal as soon as it is published.

How does PeachFlip know where I am?

From the approximate location your internet connection reports, at city level and only inside the US. PeachFlip never asks your browser for GPS location. Outside the US, or when the location is missing, deals are not sorted by distance.

Hunts and alerts

What is a hunt?

A hunt is a saved search that PeachFlip checks against every deal. It can narrow by category, by keywords (any one of them in the title), by a place and a radius of 10, 25, 40 or 60 miles, by a maximum price, by a minimum confidence, and by a minimum dollar amount below sold comps after fees.

Who gets alert emails?

Alert emails are part of Pro, and they need Email alerts switched on in your Account. A Free account keeps one hunt, the one made at sign-up. It starts emailing once the account is Pro.

What is the difference between instant alerts and the 8am digest?

Each hunt has its own schedule. Instant sends an email when a newly published deal matches. Daily digest sends one email a day with the matches first seen in the last 24 hours; it goes out at 12:00 UTC, which is 8am Eastern during daylight saving time and 7am in winter. One run sends you one email however many of your hunts matched, and a hunt alert never repeats a listing.

When do I get a price-drop email?

In two cases, both Pro. A deal you saved, with its Price-drop alert switch on, gets cheaper. Or a deal that matches one of your hunts gets cheaper. Price drops go out when PeachFlip sees the new price, whatever the hunt's schedule.

Can I follow a seller?

Yes, on Pro. Choose Follow seller on a deal, and PeachFlip emails you when that seller posts new listings.

Where can I see the alerts I was sent?

The Alert inbox lists them.

Free and Pro

What does Pro add to Free?

Free shows 6 live deals. Pro adds:

  • Every live deal the moment it's published
  • Full deal card: notes, 30-day comps, price history, seller deep-dive
  • Hunts with instant or 8am email alerts
  • Watchlist with price-drop alerts
  • Full map — no locked pins
  • Price-dropped, just-listed and distance filters
  • Full CSV export: seller, listing id, price history, comps
  • Live deal feed for your own sheet or tools: JSON + CSV with a personal key
How much is Pro?

Pro is $9.99 a month, or $69.99 a year (save 42%). Free costs nothing and needs no card.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Sign in, open Pricing and pick monthly or annual. You pay on Stripe's checkout page, which accepts promotion codes. Pro turns on as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within seconds.

Billing and canceling

How do I cancel Pro or manage billing?

Open Account, go to Plan and choose Manage billing. That opens your Stripe customer portal, where the subscription is managed and canceled. The button is there for any account that has subscribed before: it reads Update payment method if a payment failed, and View invoices after canceling (with Resubscribe next to it). The Billing button in the sidebar leads to the same page.

My payment failed. How do I fix it?

Open Account, go to Plan and choose Update payment method. That opens your Stripe customer portal, where you can change the card on file.

What happens after I cancel?

The Plan section shows the date your current period renews or ends. When Stripe ends the subscription, the account goes back to Free.

What name is on my card statement?

PEACHFLIP.

Account, password and sign-in links

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the sign-in form choose Forgot password?, enter your email and choose Email me a reset link. The link works once, for 1 hour, and opens a form for a new password of 8 or more characters. If the email isn't there, check your spam folder.

Can I sign in without a password?

Yes. On the sign-in form enter your email and choose Email me a sign-in link instead. The link works once, for 1 hour, and has to be opened in the browser you asked from. It is sent only to an email that already has an account.

My sign-in link didn't work. What now?

Links work once, for 1 hour. Ask for a new one from the sign-in form.

How do I change my name or home area?

Open Account, edit Name or Home area under Profile, then choose Save changes.

Signing out

How do I sign out?

Choose Sign out in the sidebar, or under Security on the Account page. PeachFlip then asks which kind of sign-out you want.

What is the difference between Sign out here and Sign out on all devices?

Sign out here ends the session in this browser and keeps you signed in on your other phones and computers. Sign out on all devices ends every session.

Email settings and unsubscribing

How do I stop alert emails?

Open Account, switch off Email alerts under Alerts, then choose Save changes. That stops hunt alerts, the daily digest, seller alerts and price-drop emails. Or use Unsubscribe from alerts in the footer of any alert email (or your mail app's Unsubscribe button): it turns Email alerts off in one step. Manage alerts in the same footer opens your settings.

Which emails does PeachFlip send?

Hunt alerts, the daily digest, seller alerts and price-drop emails, which you can switch off. One welcome email and a Confirm your email message after sign-up. And the links you ask for: a password reset or a sign-in link.

How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?

Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email. The newsletter list is separate from your account: switching off Email alerts does not remove you from it, and leaving it does not change your alerts.

Can I reply to a PeachFlip email?

Yes. A reply to an alert, welcome or Confirm your email message goes to hello@peachflip.com.
